Equipment

Ingredients

  • ½ cup Sour Cream
  • ½ cup Mayonnaise
  • ½ teaspoon Salt
  • 1 Tablespoon Sugar
  • 1 Tablespoon Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 4 cups Frozen Peas thawed
  • 8 slices Cooked Bacon* chopped
  • ½ small Red Onion finely diced
  • 1 ½ cups Cheddar Cheese Cubes (medium or sharp)

Instructions

  • Prepare all of the ingredients. dice the onion, cube the cheese, thaw the peas, cook and chop the bacon, etc.
  • In a medium mixing bowl, mix together the mayonnaise, sour cream, salt, sugar, and apple cider vinegar until smooth. Set aside.
  • In a large mixing bowl, add the thawed peas, bacon, onion, and cheese cubes. Toss lightly.
  • Add the dressing to the peas mixture and gently stir to coat the ingredients with the dressing evenly.
  • Cover with plastic wrap and place in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to chill.
  • Serve cold.

Notes

*You can use cubed ham or turkey in place of the bacon, or omit the meat for a vegetarian pea salad.
