Hard Apple Cider Bread is a delicious bread that uses hard cider to help it rise. This is similar to beer bread, but is lightly sweet and flavored with apples.

Ingredients
3cupsSelf Rising Flour*
1/2cupBrown Sugar
1/2tspKosher Salt
1 1/2tspCinnamon
1Applediced
1 -12ozbottle Hard Apple Cider
4ozApplesauce
1/2tspVanilla
4TbspUnsalted Buttermelted
Instructions
Heat oven to 350° F. Spray a 9"x5" loaf pan with cooking spray.
In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, brown sugar, salt, and cinnamon.
Add the diced apple, applesauce, vanilla, and hard apple cider. Stir to incorporate all of the ingredients, but don't over mix.
Transfer the dough to the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
Pour the melted butter over the top of the dough, covering it.
Bake for 40-55 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Check it at 40 minutes, then bake longer if needed. Be careful not to over bake!
Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to finish cooling.
Enjoy a slice warm, or at room temperature.
Store in a zip closure baggie or air-tight container.
Notes
*If you don't have self rising flour, you can use all purpose flour with 1 Tablespoon baking powder and an additional 1/2 tsp salt.
