Ingredients

  • 2 Granny Smith Apples* cored and sliced
  • 2 Fuji Apples* cored and sliced
  • 1 Sweet Onion sliced thin into half circles
  • 3 Tablespoons Butter
  • 2-3 teaspoon Cinnamon divided
  • ¼-½ cup Honey
  • 4-6 Pork Chops (about 1-inch thick)
  • ½ teaspoon Kosher Salt

Instructions

  • Line the bottom of the crock with half of the apples, half of the onion, the butter, half of the honey, and 1 tsp of the cinnamon.
  • Sprinkle the salt over both sides of the pork chops.
  • Layer the pork chops over the apple layer.
  • Layer the remainder of the apples and onion over the pork chops.
  • Drizzle the remaining honey, and remaining cinnamon over the apples.
  • Cover with the lid and cook on Low for 6-7 hours, or High 2-3 hours, or until the internal temperature of the pork reaches 140° F.
  • Serve with slices of the apples and onion.

Notes

The ingredient amounts are all variable. You can add more or less of any of them to your liking.

I like a mix of tart and sweet, but you can use what you like. Also, I don't peel mine.
