Slow Cooker Marinara Sauce

You may have heard that pasta sauce needs to cook a long time to be really good. If that's true, this slow cooker marinara recipe is perfect!

The benefit of cooking pasta sauce in a slow cooker is that you can leave it to cook and not have to worry about it burning.

What is Marinara Sauce?

• Marinara sauce is a tomato sauce made with tomatoes, garlic, herbs, and onions. It has many variations.
• This sauce is used in Italian-American recipes, and even as a dip for breads and mozzarella sticks.

ingredients artfully arranged

I always try to gather all of my ingredients together before starting a recipe. It is nice to have it all there and not have to go running for something in the middle of making it.

Add the tomatoes and tomato paste to the crock and stir well. Add the spices and stir them in. Cook on Low for best results as tomatoes scorch easily.
