When you make a cake, or a batch of yummy cupcakes, you want to frost them with something delicious!
In our house, peanut butter has always been a favorite flavor. We often have it with chocolate. Yum!
Today I'm sharing with you a decadent, and easy to make frosting recipe. This uses the creamy style peanut butter.
My best tips for making this yummy peanut butter homemade frosting is to have the butter soft, more or less room temperature (depending on how warm the room is), but not too soft.
This will give you the creamiest results without what I call "butter lumps", lol!

You can frost 2 - 9"x3" layer cakes or 24 cupcakes (frosting spread on, not piped on high).
This frosting recipe doubles easily.

Peanut Butter Frosting
Ingredients
- 1 cup Unsalted Butter room temperature
- 1 1/2 cups Creamy Peanut Butter
- 2 tsp Vanilla Extract
- 3 cups Powdered Sugar
- 3 Tbsp Milk
Instructions
- Add the butter and peanut butter to a mixing bowl. Then use a hand mixer to cream them together.
- Add the vanilla and mix in.
- Mix in the powdered sugar, one cup at a time.
- Mix in the milk, 1 Tablespoon at a time, until desired consistency is reached.
